The Friday Center is one of the premier conference facilities in the Southeast. Our technological sophistication, architectural elegance, and experienced event specialists combine to ensure that your event is a success.

In addition to hosting meetings and events, the Friday Center serves adult learners at the University of North Carolina through credit and noncredit courses offered here.

The William and Ida Friday Center, as it is officially named, honors two North Carolinians who have devoted their lives to enhancing and improving the lives of their fellow citizens through their work in education, the arts, and public health. William C. Friday served as president of the University of North Carolina for thirty years, while his wife, Ida, has promoted the arts through her work with a number of North Carolina arts organizations.
